For the second year in a row, we had a fabulous time hosting our charity booth in the hometown. Thanks to everyone who supported our charity booth by buying a toque, bag or raffle ticket we raised $2110 for charity! You make us all so mighty!
The donation breakdown from this weekend’s event is as follows:
- $1200 – Nina Haggerty Centre
- $400 – YESS
- $310 – Kids Need to Read
- $200 – Equality Now
Matt Stevens (Geekographs) donated a wonderful John Barrowman “Cap’t Jack” geekograph for our booth raffle which John generously signed for us. As is quickly becoming a tradition, Jason Palmer drew our raffle winner. And a ruffle on our raffle bin. The proud winner was Alan Rose.
Jason Palmer donated a wonderful Edmonton Expo piece to our annual charity auction. And we shouldn’t forget to mention that John Barrowman also signed another special item to add to the charity auction as well! 2014’s auction is starting to look like something special.
We owe a huge thank you to Clinton, Paul, Wendy, Bev, Andy, Natalie, Sheelagh & Drew for all the help with booth set-up, sales, and tear down.
We were so busy, we forgot to take lots of photos! If you did take any photos of our booth we’d love to see them. Please share them on our Facebook page.
