Can’t Stop The Serenity is a global series of screenings of the film Serenity, held to raise money and awareness for Equality Now, an international women’s rights advocacy group. Can’t Stop The Serenity events are held on (or around) June 23, which is writer / director Joss Whedon’s birthday, through the Serenity Release Anniversary, September 30.
Proceeds from the Edmonton event are divided between Equality Now, Kids Need to Read, and the Edmonton Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS, formerly the Youth Emergency Shelter Society).
You can purchase tickets online until June 21, at Happy Harbor Comics until June 20, and from the Garneau Theatre box office beginning at 11:45 am on Saturday, June 22nd.
Can’t Stop the Serenity Event Tshirt Pre-order is CLOSED
We will have a limited number of t-shirts available onsite the day of the event. These shirts will be limited in sizes and style. They will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
It says that advanced ticket sales are closed but they checkout is still there. Are they still available online or thru Happy Harbour?
The advanced ticket option was a discounted ticket price available until April 30. As of May 1, only full price tickets are being sold online and at Happy Harbor Comics. Tickets will be available online and at Happy Harbor until June 20 and at the door on June 22nd.
