Can’t Stop The Serenity is a global series of screenings of the film Serenity, held to raise money and awareness for Equality Now, an international women’s rights advocacy group. Can’t Stop The Serenity events are held on (or around) June 23, which is writer / director Joss Whedon’s birthday, through the Serenity Release Anniversary, September 30.
Proceeds from the Edmonton event are divided between Equality Now, Kids Need to Read, and the Edmonton Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) (formerly the Youth Emergency Shelter Society).
Advance ticket sales are now closed. Don’t fret, you can still get your ticket from the Garneau Theatre box office beginning at 11:45am on Saturday, June 23rd.
The CSTS 2012 Global design Tshirt and hoodies pre-sale is now closed in Edmonton. We happily sold a number of these items to our lovely supporters and fans of Firefly around the province of Alberta. We will have a very limited number of tshirts available for purchase at our CSTS event in Edmonton. First come, first serve.
Thank you to everyone who managed to get their pre-orders in by the deadline.
