Over the years we have sponsored or raised funds for a number of local (and not so local) charities and not-for-profit organizations. Our activities range from co-sponsoring a bout for a local derby team; collecting hundreds of pounds of food for the local food bank; bottle and penny drives; to raising thousands of dollars for charity via auctions and convention participation. We like to think we’re making an impact in our community and the world around us.

Members of the society strive to raise money and awareness for our partner charities; Equality Now, Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS), and the Women’s Emergency Accommodation Centre (E4C Alberta) along with other equality based organizations.

Since hosting our first fundraising event in June of 2010, we have raised over $66,472.75 CAD* for charity. Members also participate in local charity events, such as the YESS Homeless for a Night camp out, host movie and web series screenings and operate sales booths at Sci-Fi and comic book conventions in Western Canada.
