numindanKeymasterKeep your eyes peeled. Hope to have something to announce post Edmonton Expo.
Also hoping it’ll be the first of many regular gatherings 😉
numindanKeymasterLet’s take this fundraiser to the next level! YESS is in urgent needs for a number of items for their shelter. As well as collecting cashy monies on Sept 29th, we’ll be collecting “in kind” donations.
Visit http://yess.org/get-involved/in-kind-donation/ to find a list of items desperately needed. This page also contains a list of items that they cannot accept at this time. Please take time out of your busy day to look over the list to see if there is anything you may want to bring in.

numindanKeymasterTo the best of my knowledge there is no Browncoat group in Calgary. One has just started up in Grand Prairie; the 28th Fighting Swans. Other than that, I’m not aware of any established groups in Alberta or any planned events outside of Edmonton.
If anyone else knows of a group, please chime in!
numindanKeymasterWe are small, but we are mighty. We had 156 in attendance this year. That’s up from 127 in 2011 and 95 in 2010. We’re slowly growing in the right direction!
numindanKeymasterThe AB Browncoats tshirts are only available in Unisex at the moment but we’re working on getting a new supplier and should have women’s tshirts at that point.
The CSTS global design come in two different ladies fits – babydoll and v-neck.
numindanKeymasterAlong with our usual Jayne hats, we’ll have some amazing new items at our booth sure to please Browncoats everywhere.
* James Hance Prints (“Firefrog” and “Mal in Carbonite”)
* James Hance Book (“The House on Chew Corner”)
* Mark Gunn’s Firefly Drinking Songs CD
* Done The Impossible DVDs (narrated by Adam Baldwin)
* Browncoat cinch sacks
* “Serenity logo” and “Firefly character” Dragon Chow dice bags
* Serenity necklace and earrings
* Jayne Hat keychains
* Browncoat lanyards
* Patches and pinsStock up on some amazing browncoat gear AND support three awesome charities while you’re at it!
numindanKeymasterCSTS Tshirts and Hoodies are now available to order!
As with previous years, all global gear must be pre-ordered and is available for pick-up at the CSTS Edmonton event. This year we’re extremely fortunate in that we’ve got more than a week’s notice to sell the global gear. Hope this means we’ll see LOTS of people sporting the shirts and hoodies about town 😉
numindanKeymasterWe’ll definitely collect for the food bank at any pre-screenings. Plan to run the Guild over multiple weeks so if you can’t make one season perhaps you’ll be able to join us on another week.
numindanKeymasterWe are working with Global to get confirmation on which items we’ll be able to screen at HH. For now, it’s looking good that the Guild will provide authorization for the CSTS locations to screen seasons 1-5 of their show 😉
numindanKeymasterCalgary Comic & Entertainment Expo booth info is in. Make sure you pop by booth 1514-1515 to visit us, Geekbadge and DragonChow dice bags. We’re told the booth is located approx 1 row away from the massive new gaming section.
